Hi, I’m Dr. Flowers!
(but feel free to call me Siobhan – an Irish name pronounced like Sha-Von).
I am a licensed mental health therapist, higher ed professor (former 7th grade ELA teacher and lead high school counselor), and educator wellness champion! I have been in your shoes and I’d love to help you become more grounded in your wellness practices to cultivate healthier ways of thinking, feeling, and being.
Working at the intersection of education and mental wellness, I’ve researched what achieving balance as an educator really requires and have aligned my skillset with how I wish to serve - providing practical tools and support for educators who look like me to achieve functional balance.
Creating space for Black educators to prioritize their wellness, manage stress, and avoid the pitfalls of burnout brings JOY to my life.
